Voi Che Sapete is a dialogue between two TV screens, played out of sync with each other.  One TV screen being myself, the other representing the teacher, the professional opera singer Eurudike De Beul.

I am being taught to sing Opera. Going from being taught to breathe from the diaphragm through exercises of breathing in, breathing out and holding my breath as long as I can. The piece progresses to myself and the opera singer singing ‘Voi Che Sapete’ from Mozart’s ‘Marriage of Figaro’.

The aim of the singing exercises is about giving complete trust in the person teaching, learn to let go, and not being able to breathe and think at the same time, this for the voice to come out properly.
